Where should you fit Carpenter’s Super Gold 5mm?
The Super Gold is the thickest of the laminate underlays at 5mm and comes with the highest tog rating for providing significantly increased insulation. So, it should be laid where you want added warmth underneath laminate or wood floor boards.
For example, where rooms have a cold concrete subfloor, it will help make the top flooring feel warmer, especially when walking on it with bare foot.
This underlay can be fit on either wood or concrete subfloor. It can be used in most areas of your property where laminate or engineered wood floor boards are being laid.

It’s also not suitable for fitting underneath carpet.
